Lipservice. Poem by Christina Simmons

Lipservice.

When you look at my lips
What do you see?
Do you imagined,
Luscious strawberries
Or just lips
Lips that can speak many things
Past and present

When you gaze at my lips
Do they remind you of…
…Of what?
The sweet smell of roses
Early in the morning lusting after YOU
Or, just lips
Lips that can speak many things

When you see my lips Do you want to touch
Kiss and caress - hoping they'll come alive
With a stunning smile… To light up your world
Only to enhance mine

With them…
Shall I show you my love?
Hush, while I kiss you
Hello and goodbye.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem tells my perception of how others visualise my lips; since it started to protrude outward, with a droop to the right following the seriousness of the removal of a tumour, acoustic neuroma(brain tumour.) Now have bells palsy.
