Little Suzy Poem by Laquory Jones

Little Suzy

Rating: 5.0

There were once a girl I knew with
Eyes royal blue under the desert hue
That no one knew that no one saw
Underneath she began to claw
Her fragility gripped tears began
To drip as her fingernails ripped
It was then she slipped losing her
Faith lets just say she lost her way
Taking it day by day I saw her from
Time to time I would then remind her
That she's one of a kind perhaps she
Was blind I gave her a sign hoping that
She would find some value in it in mind

Or food for thought you see she was
Left distraught because she had been
Abused dazed and confused people
Left amused thinking it was all a ruse
Not one catching clues catch a cue
They're lighting fuses for there own
Amusement suddenly the pain intrudes
Darkness ensues with evil infused

People didn't know what they had put
Her through she became hooked on
Drugs anything for a buzz then the
Following year her mom developed
Dementia I see it's hurting you it's
Hurting me there were no diversions
Just in deep incisions of uncertainty
Cutting through the surface creating
Wounds where the forgetfulness began
To loom she would soon forget of year's
Past Suzy never got to tell her that she
Got her life back on track and in fact

All this time they were putting each other
On blast never putting to grasp this day would
Come at Last and unmask it's ugly head
Another relationship left for dead and I'll
Leave you with this never leave a relationship
Unfinished or unhinged no matter how
Much time you think you have left to
Spend revitalize all you can till the end.
