Loneliest Song Poem by Sandra Feldman

Loneliest Song

Rating: 5.0

The melodies
We shared,
A love so deep
That lit the stars
And went so far
Beyond all reason
But gave to life
Its sacred season.

As day now breaks,
As then, night falls
I always feel
A clutching pain,
Out of control
That strangles
Heart
And floods,
My Soul.

As if I were,
A bird that's lost
And lonely sings,
To what, in life
It loved, the Most.

I loved this melancholic melody of solitude. Poignant.
