Ivory Rose

Loneliness - Poem by Ivory Rose

I said I would never let you go
and I never did
but the weight of my love would slowly grow
when I tried to tell you my courage hid

between these lies
I still scream the truth of my heart
but you seem to not hear my crazed cries
slowly we painfully drifted apart

teased by a demon of pleasure
turned crazy by my lust
You have stolen my only treasure
I have lost my sense of trust

the pain that seeks me out
happily thrives in my grief
My hope has turned to doubt
Where are you joyful thief?

You are a betrayer of my heart
leaker of my secrets
is this agony just the start?
leave me to die in my solitary
loneliness
