LOOKING AHEAD!
Those who had spent a difficult childhood,
Hoped for a better deal during their youth!
And those who had struggled during their
youth, -
Looked for a better life on reaching manhood!
And those who felt that their manhood was
all a tease, -
Hoped for an old age of relative comfort and
ease!
And those who suffered with diseases of
old age, -
Prayed for a better life beyond the world
of the dead!
While some even hoped for a better re-birth, -
Of a life of comfort and ease, on this earth!
Now what if I told you that this death, -
Is a total extinction of life’s flame? !
Once the flame gets blown out, - nothing
remains there to doubt! *
Do not be angry with me for saying so,
Most of us are not sure where one goes!
I have yet to meet a man who has said, -
That he has returned from the world of the
dead! !
So if I have been pondering and expressing
my doubts, -
Pardon me for writing and thinking aloud!

'Looking ahead...' At each stage of life, There are only few such elite minds. The rest, brood over and creep Don't have time even to think of this very life. Very good piece of work on looking ahead and seek whats there for us. Its also interesting to feel the Extinction at death point. At least for that sake.. lets live this great life to its full. Good message dear poet. Thank you.
i agree with you on this...there seems to be nothing beyond this life...i have heard from some that jakki vasudev who is called eesha remembers his previous birth, , , he even has photographs of his previous birth they say..i do not believe this..nice poem

Body and life force are Matter and Energy in differential forms in every living being...after death the matter is converted back into energy...the matter of course comes back again out of energy....but nobody knows which matter what when and where good poem....meaningful and thought provoking...10
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
If something becomes nothing, then was something nothing after all. E=mC2, is not it true. Matter to energy and viceversa.......what about our shedding of outer garment theory?
