Lost In The Night Poem by Laquory Jones

Lost In The Night

Sometimes I get lost in the night
So many things buried deep inside
Tears falling as I begin to cry
So many people fighting to just
Survive some never lasting through
Out The night too many souls begins
Taking flight 1 million candles left
Outside 2 million more people
Contemplating Suicide
Knowing we're living in darker times

Richie you just need a sharper mind
The world needs a silver-line
News only giving me a shiver-spine
Wondering the good in this we're
Suppose to find can't help but
Wonder if we're already out of time
My clock no longer chimes
While running out of rhymes but I
Promise you'll never be left behind

Looking back at all the pain and regret
Another romeo losing his Juliet
Kids are now getting sick
Money is never being sent
People barely can keep up their rent
Nothing ever really does make sense
No passing of common cents
But its time to take a stand
Providing a helping hand
Does anything really goes as planned
It only gets harder to comprehend
The debacle that we find ourselves in
As anger seeps deeper into our skin
I just needed sometime to vent

Venting is good (as long as you're not venting blood) . Thanks for sharing.
