Lost To Me. Poem by Carl Roussell

Lost To Me.

We knew the forecast,
a storm on the horizon
was headed this way.
A storm raging in the sky.
A cyclone circling our fears.

How close the clouds come,
torrential downpour of tears
for all that is lost.
A storm that darkens the world.
A cyclone circling our fears.

When the storm abates
and the clouds clear to blue skies,
the damage done - dreams.
You're lost to us, lost to me.
The cyclone circling your fears.

A cyclone circling our fears. - The line just haunts my mind, and the progress of the storm and the damages it's brought on its way is so vividly depicted...Awesome!

This is very deep and powerful write. I like the line you chose cyclone of fears. Very appropriate at descibing weather and how it affects life and emotions. Kumarmani's comment is right on point on this one! I ditto his comment as well!

Thanks for the comment. For some the fear of a weather event is not as great as the storm in one's own mind.

A storm which appears in the horizon affects life in Earth. Sometimes weather gives mental illness. Cyclone circles your fear. But we hope this fear will go away with weather change. An interesting poem is beautifully penned. Loneliness will go away and love and peace will bloom soon.

Thanks for reading the poem. I do agree with your comment, yet many are not able to find their way to happiness.
