Loud Silence Poem by T.James Becker

Loud Silence

Rating: 4.7

An indescribable loneliness envelopes me
Tears well up in my eyes when I look around
The void I live in, the solitude of a broken heart
Being ripped apart from the inside by despair
Shredding my heart and feeding on my emotions
Heartache gives it life to thrive and destroy
All that is human, all that was my life, as I knew it
Vanished with shouts of rage and the slam of a door
The start of a car and the sound of silence
Silence, so loud it vibrates my inner core
Courses through my body like thunder in a storm
Listen to it; hear their screams, silence and loneliness

Wonderful expression of the inner sorrow, friend. The despair in the poem is amazingly portrayed. Thanks.
