The Border Songs No.2 (of 6)
- Lu Lun (748-800?)
- Translated by Frank C Yue

In the dark woods the gusts startled the long grass;
The General (on patrol) drew on his bow at night.
Searching for his white-feathered arrow in the first light,
Lo and behold! It'd buried itself whole in the rock crevice.
