Lucknow- The City Of Nawabs Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

Lucknow- The City Of Nawabs

Amidst the banks of the Gomti, Lies a city, so historic and pretty. With its rich culture and old-world charm, Lucknow is truly a city that can disarm.

From the delicious kebabs of Tunde,
To the chikankari embroidery so profound,
The city is a tapestry of art,
With stories woven into every part.

The architecture is a testament to time,
The Bara Imambara, a true wonder divine.
Its maze of tunnels and a central hall,
Are a marvel, leaving one enthralled.

Chota Imambara, a shrine so grand,
Stands tall, surrounded by history's sand.
The intricate design and the splendid decor,
Make it a destination to explore.

The city has a grace and a style so rare,
The locals, with their adab and tehzeeb, do share.
The language is a beautiful mix of Hindi and Urdu,
A delight to the ears, so pure and true.

Lucknow is a city that will steal your heart,
With its warmth and beauty, setting you apart. It's a city that one can never forget,
A true gem, that one should visit and not regret.
