Lullabye Poem by Practicing Poetess

Lullabye

Rating: 5.0

Lay your head down, and rest
Lay your worries down, too
Pillowed soft 'gainst my breast,
Moonbeams shining on you.

As the night closes in
Crickets serenade you
Sandman lulls you to sleep,
Hear the hootie-owl hoo.

Now, your head heavy grows,
As you slumber away
Still and peaceful, you doze,
'Til the dawn of new day.
