Lunacy - Poem by Sandra Feldman

Upside-down,
The human Roller Coaster goes,
History, retracts,
Savagery returns, at a stone's throw,
Heads and low spirits in pursuit,
Of the inhuman Lunacy of yore,
Destructive tendencies, the roots,
Of all manipulated War.

And little men as rats leap,
Standing on their hind legs,
Showing their claws,
Killing the Innocent,
With cowardice and force,
Closing of Humanity, the door,
As mothers weep,
For their sacrificed children,
In a lost wild world,
Where Lunacy is lord.

    Lunacy = Ego
    indeed it abounds
    in our head resounds
    to loving beings confounds
    simple love for all
    as we would have it
    we must give it
    or fall, fall, fall...

Wonderfully expressed Sandra. The middle/dark ages are pure proof of society regressing almost in whole. Wonderful one my dear friend. :) A 10 (Report)Reply

Absolutely great poem Sandra! Perfect explanation of our world and it's evil today - it is total lunacy! All innocents are being hurt, maimed and sacrificed and for what reason? ? It is horrific and needs to be stopped now. As you stated in this poem, history retracts, savagery returns. Thank you, Sandra for this illuminating poem. RoseAnn (Report)Reply
