Mahal Ko Kayong Dalawa(I Love You Both) Poem by Obed dela Cruz

Mahal Ko Kayong Dalawa(I Love You Both)

(Original :)

May mga nagsasabi dyan sa kanto
Na naglaho na daw ang Inyong silbi.
Ngunit di sila ang pakikinggan ko
Sapagka’t mahal na mahal ko Kayo.

Bakit nandito Kayo sa puso ko?
Bakit ko nga ba Kayo minamahal?
Kagandahan Nyo’y di naglalaho
Lagi Kayong mananatili dito.

Sino nga ba Kayo? Sino? O sino?
Parang di nila kayo kilala.
Kayong dalawa and Dyos at bansa ko.
Mahal ko Kayo, Kilala ko Kayo.

Hindi ko Kayo makakalimutan
At hindi ko Kayo tatalikuran.

(Translation: I hope the translation is good. I’m not really used to write a poem in my own language and translate it to another.)

There are some in the corner who say
That Your worth has already faded.
But I’ll close my ears to them
Because I love both of You so much.

Why are You here in my heart?
Why do I love You so?
Your beauty is everlasting.
You’re immortal in my heart.

Who are the both of You? Who? O who?
Why people do not know You?
Both of You are my God and my nation.
I love You so much, I know both of You.

I will never ever forget You
Neither shall I turn back from You.
