Main Attraction Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Main Attraction

Being aware.
With identity.
To appreciate oneself.
Is seldom words heard from them,
Making accusations about others...
Not being 'Down to Earth'.
While those who do this,
Do the best they can to be...
The center of attention.

With a doing of it to get.
And...
At someone else's expense.
Mocking to berate and demean.
Done to do to ensure,
Their performance...
Is under the brightest,
Of a focused spotlight!
As if needing to be,
The one and only main attraction.
