Majority Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Majority

The majority.
Those of the status quo.
Seeking to preserve the state of affairs.
Put into place some time ago.
Are the ones who make decisions.
Implement rules and laws to obey and follow.
Amend or modify them,
Conveniently for their betterment.
With this done to do to document.
Although...
Also at their convenience,
Their failures to create and establish to make...
Are rushed to claim and blame on others.
In declarations of public announcements.
Made with false allegations.
And the best excuses to produce.
Done in campaigns to complain about threats.
Instigated to initiate,
By the ones labelled minorities.
Living within the boundaries of applied injustices.
Stirring up division, conflicts, hatred and bigotry.
To satisfy those historically incapable,
Of admitting any wrongs to others done to do.
And yet...
If the doing of this they did to permit it,
Would receive for them more respect.
Given.
Than a pretense they show,
Getting less perceived...
As a greatness to have had.
Now becoming more known as deception!
Fraud and corruptible destruction.
Not to benefit.
But to corrode and dim the image!
