March On March...... Poem by karen sinclair

March On March......

Rating: 5.0

I am a swathe of salted tears
Spread thin upon brown earth
Doused throughout lost years
Querying all I'm worth

I'm a fish that leaps unruly
Headed for dry land
Weak and soul destroyed
There are no rainbow sands

I'm a crab that's most well hidden
Desiring nought but peace
Who crawls out with suspicion
Within the Golden Fleeced

I'm a child who's barely risen
I'm a loaf that's missing yeast
A witness to all that's missing
I'm the table preloved feast

I'm a dog that lays regardless
A cat that spralls reclined
I'm a million lost reasons
Hidden in my mind

I'm a jester out of humour
A king who's lost his Dom
A lady lost in waiting
Wondering where mine lovers gone

I'm a traveller whos restricted
I'm a peacock unrefined
I'm a solice man conflicted
Politician who never minds

I'm a new born taking first breath
Dying with my last
I'm hopeful of the future
Learned from my past

I'm a torrent of emotion
I'm strict as solid stone
In a world of stagnent commotion
I'm happily alone

I'm all things to all men
Incognito air
All things to those finger pointers
Who really do not care

I'm a coffin nail gon rustic
A lovers seat beneath auld arch
Empty void resisted
But at least I choose to
March

That was a wonderful read. For the first time I didn't want to finish quickly and comment for I was lost in your metaphors. Gives a sad sort feeling in some places but loved the ending with a courage to march. even the title is most enticing. Lovely rhythm. I loved the sounds of stops. Have no right to rate this piece of artistic qualities
