Mashed Potato Deals Poem by Sandra Feldman

Mashed Potato Deals

Let's dance together,
The Waltz of Lies,
And fool each other,
With 'bluer' skies,
Treaties of mice don't really matter,
Like fragile glass, they crack and shatter.
And All the efforts and All the tears,
Are swiftly stopped by secret deals,
While the Truth lies broken and badly torn,
Free will and liberty are treated with scorn.

Epilogue
It's just a pity our Destiny,
Wrongly cluttered by hypocrisy,
Wheeling and dealing, that never stops,
Until they burn all the Country's crops!
