Materialistic Wishes Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Materialistic Wishes

Again.
For them,
Another opportunity arrives.
And again.
For them,
Few will pay attention.
To its presence.
Or accept the significance,
Of what that opportunity is.
Unnoticed to have value.
Or the meaning of it to them sent.
Since an opportunity like this,
Disconnects...
From their ideals,
Of materialistic wishes kept.
Or identifies to qualify,
To what they are accustomed...
Most to worship.
That satisfies their indulgences.
