Miss Playstrussed In Hrhoanjudge Meant? - Poem by Reece Kaye

Oh bringer
of enlightenment
(Or should that read-
“Word of the Day”?)

Relayer of Wisdom
behind your years
So pretty and witty,
but nothing to say.

Continuous cascades
of pith and of spite
Are niggling away
at your face

Accelerating
the onslaught of age
the freeway’s fast lane
preferred choice of pace

No brakes, breaks or time-outs?

Growing up’s not a race.
