It's a very sad day,
When political floozies and creeps,
Can get away,
With anything they do or say,
This is not our USA,
This is not, the land of the brave,
Of the free, to act so shamefully.
We have been warned of these things for many years- -Florida-Bush-Gore-Ballot stealing- - for one example of the in your face what are you going to do about it, huh? attitude of the very branches of the government that are supposed to be against criminal activity. How are we going to survive the choices that are set before us now? The devil or the deep blue sea? Folly of the clown or folly of the stone-cold liar? But these are the choices of the masses- -dear God in heaven please help us. Great protest poem, Sandra- -got my pulse rate elevated! 10

Just to the right of your sobering poem about the failure of American democracy is a photo of the Statue of Liberty but it's there in an advertisement for insurance. It's a sad ploy of capitalists to make associations between political principles and money-making. The statue was a gift of the French people to honor the American experiement in democracy, and back then it was seen in an idealistic light. Now it rubber stamps insurance and many Americans don't want the immigration she presides over. This is just supporting evidence for your cogent poem.
