Mom, I Miss You Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Mom, I Miss You

Rating: 4.8

Today is important day in my life
I found good partner in life as wife
It was great moment and your last wish,
Life is going smooth with fine finish

Your seed plant has now grown into big tree
I look back with satisfaction and feel free
Mom, it was you who nurtured me well,
Life otherwise would have been simple hell,

You fed me on ideals with honest means,
You neither yielded to temptation nor leaned by any means
You took stock of situation promptly and acted
Never acted in haste and reacted

I cherish your memory when I am at ease
How can I try your memory to be erased
You were always there to guide me in dream
In darkest hour you come as sun ray’s beam,

I have finest hour in life and place to remember
As youngest son I was naughty member
So much damage caused by me but you didn’t count number,
Though quite number of times I bowed and apology tendered

Suddenly I come to realize and raise look towards sky
Tears rush in eyes with tremendous force to cry
After passing of so many years you are still at heart,
You had so much devotion with concealing art

Twinkling stars and open sky resemble your smile
I see you in them there though they are away by many miles
As you used to do, Moon light shower silver blessings,
Body feels gentle touch as if with your sweet kissing

You used to run your fingers in thick hair deposits
I was compulsorily made to obey by her and sit
She may comb the hair to make me look good
Later on to serve with delicious and testy food

No compromise for hard work and study
She was stubborn with approach and strong lady
No one could dare to oppose her not even daddy
I was to gear up for everything and say ready

These were the happy moments I miss all along
I considered my self happiest person among
Had you ever been here for this happy occasion?
I considered it rare opportunity to be enjoyed by any person,

I have desire to offer you mom a beautiful flower,
you smile again from sky and bless the shower,
I shall consider it heavenly offer and receive as small child,
I miss you mom so much as you had always been very kind and mild

Lovely poem Hasmukh...so moving..a great tribute to your mother! Fortunately, my own mother is still alive. I dread the day when I will have to compose a poem in memory of her. I will strive to cherish her; inspired by your poignant poem!
