Most Of My Life Poem by Laquory Jones

Most Of My Life

Most of my life I would sink always looking down
Always wearing a frown but deep inside I knew
I was meant for bigger things I had not foreseen
But I had to see I would get lost in thought it
Was through this anxiety heightening that I began
To believe that I could change the world But I
Needed help I couldn't move it by myself I would
Asked someone like you One thing Do you
Believe and if yes then follow me Right now I'm
On the verge of making history at least I hope to
Be At the age of thirteen I had felt a desire waking
Up from deep inside with my eyes widening that
Was my vision I was envisioning a better society
Someone said to me ' that Richie you could
Change the world' but I couldn't picture me at
First leading a you and I then one night while
Gazing at the sky The stars had aligned I took
That as a sign I was no longer blind I had to find

What makes up me most of my life I was afraid
To speak not understanding that I hadn't yet
Reach my peak people jumping out their seats
Applauding me Success eluding me maybe
I could be your source of light enlightenment
Of life providing insight with futures bright
Take that leap of faith let me pave the way
What would Richie say ' Thoughts are like Clay
With minds as Pompeii' Withstanding through
The forces of Life we're still standing Through
The Passages of Time I'm the Testament of Truth
Honesty had pursued like air in the lungs
I'm willing to go to extremes just to show you
How much you mean to me until my words on
Paper jumps at you literally I'll become
The voice of the people vocally until the ink
In pens leaks out verbally so that means I'll
Forever be re-writing history through my poetry.
