Mother Earth - Sringara Or Love Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Mother Earth - Sringara Or Love

Rating: 5.0

Mother Earth embraces the young lovers,
In her soft bed of green grass,
Two pairs of intoxicating eyes,
Speaking volumes of infinite love,
Their voice no more than sweet whisperings,
Whistling and singing with the rustic wind,
Their hearts throbbing at the tender touch,
Their fingers locked in a tight grasp,
Their toes meddling with the soft leaves,
Restless, lest someone catch them!
Their hearts dancing like a spanish tango,
The young lovers sit together for hours,
Unmindful of the time ticking by,
Absorbed in the serene silence of nature!
The Mother Earth watches them
With loving eyes!
For she is ‘Sringara Bhumi' -
The Mother of passionate love!

Hi Geeta, Wonderful poem on the love and care of Mother Earth for her children. The sensuousness of the love of the young couple, you have depicted in very subtle words, very few words. Fantastic poem.100++
