Muddy Water Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Muddy Water

& When I think of you
I am free.
Carried towards every hope and
Dream preconceived soon as
My eyes paddle deep into yours.
Losing all accountability
Of what I think
Of what I do.
I am free, carried weightless
By the wave of comfort you possess.
When I see you
I am planted in what I hope to be true.
The ocean I've seen has subsided
The rivers and lakes have dissipated.
I've splashed around in mud
Chasing the dream of a stream
That I hope will not anchor me down
Away from calmer waters
