Multiple Thoughts Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Multiple Thoughts

Rating: 5.0

Theres not a knife in my
heart, not a stitch, not a tear,
but the pain is clearly there.
All eyes stare, but none can
see through. so confused,
thinking is all I do. Every
Second as they tick down,
has me wondering whats
next. The next test? My
thoughts clouded, I wash
away but they always come
crawling back. I shed a
tear, and hug my knees
close to my chest. Waiting.
I don't Want to be like this,
but what other way do I know?
My thoughts black and cold.
My words sharp and quick.
I hurt, but it's me whose hurting
too. Am I doing this, or am I
insane from the pain?
Sometimes I don't mind it
because it's become the
only thing I feel, sometimes
an addiction. Madness all around
me, my screams muffled,
my thoughts blank. But in the
end I guess its me I should thank.
