Mutation Poem by Dr Kamran Haider Bukhari

Mutation

Rating: 5.0

dropp me in the shallow waters of mutability
and let me take a bath of metamorphosis
they say I am outdated now
so got to pace with the marching time

what if I would never change
what if my heart continues to beat
with the rhythm of manufacturer’s preference
what if my mind keeps on writing
the evergreen songs of faithful sorrows and lost love

it matters to them
but not to me
change is an illusion
law of nature never alters
history repeats itself
and after a long journey
of continuous mutation
we reach from where we start

yes, we reach where we start from...but how we get caught in illusions created by others and self!
