My Heart Skips A Beat

Rating: 5.0

Oh, my heart always skips a beat
whenever you are here,
but then, it also skips a beat
when you are nowhere near!

My heartbeat is irregular;
I've had it all my life.
My doctor doesn't fret a bit,
and neither does my wife.

At my age, nothing will be done
to fix it, just because
it doesn't cause me any grief;
that's how it always was!

Liked the beautiful photo that goes with this write. I had the opportunity to visit Utah. Such a wonderful place. Your mountains are so beautiful and alluring. No one can beat Mother Nature's Hands and you have abundance of salt, too. Onto my Poem List.

This poem resonates with me. There are times we feel something different in our body. Unlike you, however, I am a worrier. It is indeed a pleasure reading this wonderful poem, Kim. You always write and deliver a poem with utmost ease. Very entertaining and so beautifully written. As always you made me smile and that is priceless! ! !

A very lovely poem. The first stanza beautifully captures that magic feeling of love. Yes, even if we have irregularities in our system as long as it does not interfere with the normal course of life, we ate fine. Just enjoy the wonders of existence.

Ha, ha! I love it. Love the photo, too. It might be mistaken for a convict picture, though.
