My Long Journey Poem by Romeo Della Valle

My journey has been long
I'm weary from travel
My wings are worn
Threadbare in many spaces
Where the road was rough
Passing many obstacles
Along the way!

I had almost given up
On my dream impossible
As it did seem of finding
The one very special lady
To share my life with for
In my mind I was running
Out of time!

One last chance is all I asked
To fill this void in my heart
With love and joy when suddenly
An Angel appeared with perfect
Wings and she repaired mine
So torn, so tattered but
All that really mattered is
That she was here!

Hand in hand, side by side
We flew on high she must have
Been sent by a heavenly force
As we soared in bonded spirits
To land together and to spend
Each day in the realm
Of a perfect love!
