My Lovely Dear Homeland
My Lovely Dear Homeland
where the fresh tulips grow
where the beautiful jasmine blooms, you know,
on the imposing lowlands
my second dear homeland
where the dunes
still playing their summer tunes,
in an artistic symphony
near the cool North Sea,
where the mighty Rhine flows
and the lovely Meuse unfolds
lies my lovely dear homeland,
though the smallest
but the tallest
coastal shore
and myriads more
come what may
come what may
we still have the dutch hay!
