Netherland, My Home-Land….
when i go up the rocky hills
i don't getanymore those thrills
like in my premier time in the Netherlands
i've seen so many frogs in this waterland
i was silenced, surprised and shocked
all my memories blocked
but
when i see so many uncountable frogs right now,
i don't feel silenced anymore, neither surprised nor shocked,
i am surprised that i have gotten used to the uncountable frogs
innumerable?
these frogs?
i discovered delicious dishes,
the name on the list:
fried frog woks
when i go up now the rocky hills,
i do get these fashion thrills
delightful dishes of delicate
fried frog woks
poor dutch farmers, now no frogs
anymore
even in their socks....

I could imagine the great Poetess climbing the rocky hills of her home land. A very exciting endeavor indeed. A wonderful poem full of images. Informative and entertaining.
A beautiful and unique write. I can relate to this poem about frogs. Frogs when cooked are delicious and nutritious. One of the most common dishes is fried frog. Others are those being dipped in egg batter, breadcrumbed and then fried or in soups or stews.
Netherland, my home-land waterland sparkling drops from the Northsea how awesome poetry!
This Water-land is the most beautiful Netherlands and you love this country very much. Natural beauty of this land has motivated your poetic mind with great hope and responsibility! We feel your emotion and patriotism. A great poem is well penned which is very memorable one! ..5 stars!
