Never Be Lost For Who You Are Poem by Lyn Paul

Never Be Lost For Who You Are

Rating: 5.0

A countdown to half a century
Remembering
Decades in rows of five
Now knowing
Too....
Never be lost for who you are

I have come this far
Knowing
I will go much further

Though fighting my toughest battle
Accepting this as my Life's Journey
A path to open a new chapter
Reading a new page
Skipping the index
Knowing now
What I don't want

The falls were needed
Knowing full well
I could stand up again

The Loss's were given
So my realization of what I don't need
Were before my eyes

The pain was bearable
Knowing others
Have a weight
Far more,
Unbearable

My middle age
Will let me see
A flashback
Of achievements

Highs and Lows
Always to remember
The highs are like stars
That powerful feeling
That....
They will always shine

So cheers for this 50 years

In the realization
That we...
Are only here for a while

This I wish I knew...
In my first 50 years

Never Be Lost For Who You Are

Every year in life is an year to celebrate. Fifty glorious years and mind gets more mature. Your poem is very positive that what is to be achieved is more than what was already done. Wish you strength, determination, health, and happiness to accomplish all that you wish to. Cheers.

Beautiful poem Lyn. Cheers to the 50 years of life lived. Positive lines..... I have come this far Knowing I will go much further Very true said Lyn, falling is not a failure but it give enough strength to rise and stand. If there was no fall in our lives then there would have been no rise. Poem filled with positivity. I just wonder, What would be there in your poem after a decade. Surely many things might have changed and definitely I will read your poem after a decade. This doesn't mean I am not going to read your poems now. Actually, I missed your many poems, definitely I will read them all. Belated Birthday Wishes. God Bless You!

Failure is not falling down, but refusing to stand up! Defeats, hurdles, disappointments, heart burns...... all are part of life! But resurgence like a rubber ball is what is needed! Bounce back and come to life! The fifty years have taught you valuable lessons... The wisdom gleaned through these years will definitely be an investment for your remaining years! A beautiful poem!

This is absolutely magnificent work from start to finish, especially including your lone-line close-out...Lyn, the work is powerful in so many ways...It elicits emotion, and conveys the preciousness of life, and that despite the Crosses we are all dealt to shoulder in this life, that we still have the power within us to enjoy the in-betweens, reverse the natural instinct to feel that you've been dealt a bad hand, and instead, know that whatever it is that needs to be shouldered, that others are either shouldering far heavier Crosses or unable to see things as you skillfully expressed in this poem....Structurally, I see virtually flawless movement throughout. I apologize for not getting to your work sooner...You are indeed a fine bard of the Silent Word...I look forward to reading a lot more of your pen-gems... ~FjR~
