Never Stop Poem by Julia Luber

Never Stop

Rating: 5.0

Find a word, expose a metaphysical phenomena and add a time signature
And you will have a poem. It does not take some terrible tragic event nor
a sudden scorching disappointment nor traumatic realization-in fact, all
of these notations can be put aside to find the soul and psyche in yourself
to write a poem. Think of how many steps there are in this world-including
ladders and adding fire escapes. Point being: there are so many levels to climb
and places to rise to. At any time, when the mind feels vacuumed and if even
traumatized, start with a word and somehow dissect it into many meanings:
and then make your fruit in the Garden of Eden- - an onion, and peel it and
peel it, and as your tears fall from the sting, let the catch basin be made of your
poem that you write. And even consider starting a movement; poetry can take you
anywhere, and all around the world, and right through that metaphysical question
and arena you started with. You can even consider what it's like to never stop.

Dear Poetess Julia, this is such a nice poem - A study on how to write a poem! I particularly liked your phrase - 'to expose a metaphysical phenomena'. Though we do not need an event, episode or story to write a poem, yet a sensitive thought or a sensible issue can trigger poetry. You are right Julia! Never stop! .........10
