New Sandwich

Rating: 5.0

I tried a new sandwich today
and it was cheese and jam.
Why did I make it just that way?
Because I had no ham.

Do you like to try new food?
I make it a habit.
When something different seems good,
I reach out and grab it.

Try mixing orange soda fizz
with your dad's root beer.
You'll be surprised how good it is
at any time of year.

One sandwich that I really like
is pickle and peanut butter,
and if you've never tried it,
well, you really ought to.

P.B. is also very good
to dip your carrot sticks in.
You should try it; you really should,
so tasty it's almost a sin.

Still not convinced? Well, that's O.K.,
You don't have to do it my way.
Just keep eating those same old foods
day after day after day after day.
