Night Kitchen Poem by richardo posto

Night Kitchen

Rating: 4.5

Do you rest restless
with no night kiss?

I blow one in your direction
continents and battlefields away
carried on fond memories

I dream we dine in night's kitchen
of soups divine and love's wine

on desert sand, dark and still, on us,
starlight and burning desire shine

until dawn's waking sun
lulls us, two lovers, to sleep.
