The moon shines so brightly besides my bed,
As ground frost I mistook its reflection,
To the moon I lifted my eyes ahead,
Hopelessly homesick as I bowed my head,

    Moonglints on the ground in front of my bed roll
    seem on waking to be feathers of frost.

    I raise my head to gaze fully at the bright moon
    then sink back, sleepless, yearning to be home.
