No Light Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

No Light

Rating: 5.0

Solitude, you have won
You are on duty permanmently
No one or thing can make me feel love
My battles to get rid of you
Are a waste of time
But I desire love still
Anything but words could touch me
Once again
I am lost in confusion
Drowning in it helplessly
I refuse to lick my wounds in defeat
With the salty crying
For there is no light inside
This tunnel

Defeat really is agony, where love is concerned. Hopefully, the light returns in time, however. Nicely written.
