No Mistakes Poem by Norah Tunney

No Mistakes

Rating: 5.0

There are no mistakes-
everything happens for you
not to you,
now it is a mosquito ringing
in my ear,
can I allow this buzzing to be?
doesn't he have a right to bite
and cry out as well as me,
of course I will kill him
if I get the chance
but in the meantime
there are no mistakes
even the times in my life
when I lived in hell
I can see now
life was happening for me
not to me
but there are not many people
you can tell this to
so don't go around shouting
it out.

'Of course I will kill him' I laughed out loud at that because it was unexpected although obvious. I too believe that life happens for you and now more so with maturity less as a victim. We have all that our soul needs to grow in every situation that occurs in our life.

Isn't time and experience such an amazing gift not to exteriors but definitely to our spirit. You have a mystic heart Simone.

Thank you Anil. I think peace is always available even in the midst of the hustle and bustle of life. It's just in the background.

but there are not many people you can tell this to so don't go around shouting it out. There is the theory of living and the hope that we can answer the bell when we get knocked down. But it is all theoretical until that powerful blow is landed and sprawls us out. Easier to stay down it would seem and some do but not you. I know that this is no matter of pride but rather a sharing with kindred spirits or those about to be baptized by bad news. You are no small ripple Norah you are a wave.........

I guess I write also to remind myself. Its funny sometimes big blows happen and i handle them so Grace-fully but a little niggley thing can bend me out of shape. It's always a gift if someone is inspired or helped along the way by a poem I write. You inspire me Edmund Strolis.

Thank you Tom. I agree when the inside is right it lights up the outside. I notice it's not so much what's happening in my life as how its being perceived.
