(A POEM TO CAMPAIGN FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY)
(PLEASE SHARE THIS POEM TO EVERYONE)
There are moments when I wake with the bright morning sky
And hear the birds as their song peals like church bells sweet,
I often dream that these things are not just passing by
The times until they are no more found for us to meet.
When I cross the sea or just walk along the rivers,
I gaze upon the still, small waves and then imagine
What world could it be without the help of these waters?
What drought could cause the pain and burden of a famine?
Zephyrs embraced as I once beheld on these mountains,
They used to be great and colored by a fertile green
With nature’s gift of purest, virgin springs and fountains,
But why today these treasures are kept in the unseen?
Will the Earth I knew, loved and cared for be gone one day?
No more trees, no more flowers in autumn’s boundless curse
When people bothered not to care or just even pray
For a dying person left with nobody to nurse.
There she bleeds, crawling on the remains of forests bald
With a wounded heart wandering along the seasons
‘Til there on the dust finally her spirit is walled
Within a lost memory of old springtime regions.
I cannot bear to say goodbye until it’s the end,
For I know I can do something as a caring friend.
