Now She Smiles Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Now She Smiles

Rating: 5.0

My granddaughter Tasha
To make her sleep
I usually sing (so I believe)
my favourite lullaby.

On this day, I wasn't well
had an infection in my throat,
on my mobile phone
I played ‘Omanathingal…'

the honey sweet voice
of the nightingale of ours
singer K. S. Chithra,
filled the room with melody.

her eyes opened wide
Tasha smiled to me bright
as if she said "this is how
you sing the lullaby."

Thank you, Rose Marie. You may search for the lullaby "Omanathingal' rendered by Chithra on YouTube. She can help even you to sleep tight (smiles)
