Nude Poem by Paula Glynn

Nude

Like foundation, I apply you like a second skin,
I feel water cascade upon my skin and hair,
And the water and the steam is like heaven,
For I am in the nude, and I love the water.
I see myself in all aspects, I see the truth,
I have a beautiful body and feel at ease,
Being in the nude a release of freedom,
And as I dry myself off, I think,
How should I dress today?
My skin is bare of make up,
And I have to wake up and face the day,
Applying moisturiser to bare skin,
And I gaze into the mirror, in awe of my body,
I like to keep fit and eat good foods,
And it certainly shows in my nude reflection,
For I am naked to the bone, and beautiful,
To the bone, and I love to be touched,
For I feel like a porcelain doll,
Yet I am not fragile.
I feel beautiful within myself,
And I love gorgeous clothes, often being admired,
My boyfriends says he loves my figure,
And how at ease I am within myself,
And he loves to photograph me in the nude,
With pictures art directed and not rude,
And I have them on my lounge wall and framed,
And when I glance at those photographs,
I stand ten feet tall, for I am truly beautiful,
I love my body and feel no shame,
I don't need to have riches or fame,
To know I how good I look,
For make up can't erase what isn't wrong,
With my appearance, so nudity is mine,
And I know I appeal to both men and women.
