Ode To Orlando Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Ode To Orlando

Rating: 4.5

Got in the car
Didn't get far
Before the drugs kicked in
What a truly wicked sin

Didn't see him until too late
That accident sealed my fate
Paralyzed with fear
From death so near

Really bad decision
Of such indecision
Caused me to flee
Couldn't let it be

Kissed the wife and baby
Said bye to family
Went to jail guilty
Of stupidity

Jail time
Stole my time
For such a stupid crime
Ran out of precious time

Spent long days and nights crying
Instead of loving laughing
All the pain all the suffering
Family time gone depressing

Lots of praying day and night
To help let me see the light
Praying for the victim's speedy recovery
And for my soul to once again be set free

Thanking God for His comfort for His loving
Serving Him and mankind shall be my blessing
Praying to always be strong always be kind
Seeing His love and forgiveness in my mind
