Dismal is the morning sky,
No birds have passed my way,
Clouds are moving thick and fast,
It's such a grey old day.
Branches bending to and fro,
Bare from leaves of green,
But spring will give them back with love,
A splendid leafy scene.
Soon this place will come to life,
Bright and so alive,
The woodland filled with flowers again,
Wild blooms will soon arrive.
Thoughts of summer make me smile,
For it will soon be here,
Winters only here awhile,
I'll welcome it with cheer.

I love this, such hope, and right now to be reminded of the coming life of springtime, here in the dismal drab of winter, is exactly what my heart needs to hear, thank you.
