One More Preferred

Anyone daring to claim,
Not to be racist.
In places identified,
By neighborhoods divided...
Into ethnic and separated,
'Territories' respected...
For their cultural heritage.
Is...
An accepted conscious way,
Of saying...
This in some places,
Uniting states of minds...
Found to find 'together'.
Is respect to express.
Regardless...
If disparities, injustices.
With missing opportunities.
Controlled by those,
Living elsewhere.
Picking to choose,
Who to disenfranchise.

This...
In places,
Where people have been...
Marginalized,
As minorities.
Is a racist attitude that relates,
To an image...
Given significance.
And done to praise to idolize.
Day in to night out.
Sun up to come down 24/7.
Historically unquestioned.
Or debated to interrupt,
Whatever madness discussed.
Magnified to keep minds,
Magnetized to butts and thighs
Texture of hair.
And comparisons wished...
On every graph there is,
In the hope to find...
Familiar similarities between,
Apples, peaches and pears.
To eventually declare,
One chosen as being...
More preferred!

'Uh...
Not to be,
A thrill killer here but...
You all have picked an 'onion'.
Mistaken for something else,
Perhaps?
With a wanting to win,
An interpretation...
Of a contest?
Is everything you choose to do,
Connected to racism? '

'There you go.
Playing the 'racist card'.
Why can't you folks,
Stay satisfied singing...
Those Negro spirituals.
I once had a nanny.
Oh...
How she just loved,
To clean, cook and hum.'

'That's racist.'

'There you go.
I can't even pay y'all,
A complement.'
