Our Life - Poem by GAYLE ANNE GOFF

You have become unhappy.
You've then made me unhappy.

We've been together most of our live
You took me as your wife.

Then you turned on me as a sharp knife.
Your words were like a sharp knife slicing
through meat.
.
The words cut into my soul so deep.
I long now for eternal sleep.
Without you my being might end.
