Our Octobering. Poem by Fay Slimm

Our Octobering.

Rating: 5.0

Leaves ready to fall
...........................now redden and blush.
Demur in change,
.....................they know October's here.
Windblown they tremble
............................ yet shed without rush.
We, dear friend,
................. feel our autumness nearing.

Heated by summer,
......................love no more emboldens
Like sad paling leaves
................................ our verses run dry.
Coats of lonliness
...........................loosen each frail hold.
Bur we penned glorious hues,
.............................................. you and I.

As i get older I notice the change of seasons, remind me that life changes constantly. Autumn with its colours red, orange and yellow, warm my heart just like a fire. Fay your lovely poem does the same. I like your new style. LOve Bob

The leaves fall softly on an autumnal day on each one i have penned, what my heart has to say natures parchment is falling, on each one is a rhyme reach out, and catch one, that's if you have time
