When a snake sheds its skin
It's in a place
Where it will never return
And a piece of fuzz is hard to appear
Upon a fuzzy jacket
In a mirror he sees
The face of someone
And he does not know
Who he is
He holds the hand of a child
He does not recognize
His eyes they roll
Back in his head
Cannot find the glasses
That he needs upon his eyes
To see with
They are hiding in plain sight
Lying upon the nightstand
By his bed
Where he sleeps
So sound every night
The lady is a foreigner
Who cooks his food
And give him breakfast in the morning
Coffee bacon and eggs
He looks her in the eye
And fumbles a smile!
