Overflowing Abundant Tears Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Overflowing Abundant Tears

How can all that is happening,
Be allowed to happen.
With such effectiveness.
Permitting such,
Unexpected World wide regret?

Could it be...
From the planting of one lie to tell it.
Nourishing this deception.
To flourish and grow.
Could it be...
Just a few minds to corrupt.
With a feeding of fantasies to believe.
Quickly told and sold to others.
Until infesting,
Friendships, co-workers.
And unsuspecting members of families.
Could it be...
Greeding thieves of truth and honesty.
Implementing misdeeds.
And enjoying the growth of their hypocrisies.

And finally...
Could it be a possibility,
God and Mother Nature.
The Creators of our dualities.
Had 'had' enough of all the 'funky' stuff.
And fed up bestowing forgiveness wishes.
Taken for granted to dismiss.
No longer to tolerate the childishness.
To decide...
A lesson to teach it,
Is in need of more heat.
With it done to witness,
How hot it can be applied no one ignores!

How can all that is happening.
Be allowed to happen.
To the rich and poor.
Whether to live in urban cities,
Fighting each other.
Or those living to believe,
Crime behind them they leave...
Conflicts, division.
And those left to know,
The reality of injustice and disparities!

Well...
Could it be,
Perhaps God and Mother Nature.
Have come to realize.
Sparing the rod,
Has spoiled their 'children'.
And this many of them,
Have taken for granted...
The 'Home' they did not make.
To believe it theirs to devastate.
Just to feast on greed and pretensions.
Made to impress yet not left to imitate,
The wealth of overflowing abundant tears.
