Painting The World With My Words Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Painting The World With My Words

Rating: 5.0

The ghost of our love lingers on
But we departed long ago
In my mind, I don't know why we did
The question keeps racing around my brain
I thought we would live out our days
Somewhere we would be successful
I didn't know you wanted something else
You wanted to stay in this town
I couldn't wait for eighteen to arrive
You thought it was I needed to be free
So, you let go
For you knew I had it in me
To paint the world with my words
