Paperback Mystery Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Paperback Mystery

Rating: 5.0

When the light hits yr face
It's very angelic
But inside you, there's another light
A light of a wounded animal
I can tell since I have it too
We're blind to the rest of the world
Because we have lost a love one
But you seem not to show it
Me, I have my heart on my sleeve
But I really can't read you
Like a paperback mystery
I can't understand how you can carry on

Amazing verse, LeeAnn. Yes, we for some reason do expect to immediately be able to 'read' others. Yet we are complicated, much more so than the plot to any pulp murder mystery. This verse goes to myfavourites.
