Paramedic? Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Paramedic?

Rating: 5.0

I'm suffocating, my lungs are
gasping for air as I lay upon
your feet, can't you see what
you've done to me? My
breath grows weaker as
beads of sweat drip, while the
clock ticks. Tick by tick it echos
in my head. My strenght has
vanished. Gasphing, screaming,
I hear you say 'Shh, it'll all be ok
soon.' 'Ok? you did this to me! '
I scream. 'You should be here
pleeding instead of I! ' your face
never changes, as my heart
skips paces. A sharp pain....
I let out a yelp. 'But you know
whats funny? ' I gasp. 'After all
those memories, I only wasted
one tear.' I smile and silenly drift.
